Tennis and golf have been on your “must learn” list for years. Not only are these sports a great way to get outside in the summer, but they are also fun and social, don’t involve sweating to death, and all the while allow you to don a cute skirt or killer cleats. Picking up these sports is not an easy feat, though, as the equipment, rental fees and new outfits (an obvious necessity) add up quickly. This is where Sports Plus, a local-area merchant in the business of new and used sports equipment, comes into play. In their Gaylord Street store you are able to purchase gently used (and often brand name) merchandise for the right price, which makes taking up any new sport a lot easier and more...

You went to ballet classes; you learned to ice skate and you even took those horrid ballroom dancing classes your mom made you go too. Your bike had streamers on it with a cute perky horn and white basket to boot. You did the things that little girls were expected to do while growing up and still learned how to be the strong independent woman you are today from those experiences. Now you’re able to change a flat, put new shingles on your roof and grill up a mean flank steak. Why not embrace that feminine power and ride in an all women’s bike tour this summer. |
