They may be straight from the mountains, but you won't find any log beds or life-size bears in this furniture store. Slifer Designs has recently taken over one of the many empty spaces inside Cherry Creek Mall. You can find them directly across from Neiman Marcus, which is a good way to describe their decadent and plush style. The luxury brand company has 20 years of experience in interior home design and is the place to find fabulous in Denver. You can make an appointment to meet them in one of their two showrooms for a personal consultation, or you can take a peek at their products and buy directly off the shelf. They carry lines such as Dransfield & Ross Bedding and Black Tulip Antiques. |

With the onset of September, fall is once again upon us. And what better way to spend a casual Saturday than enjoying the mild temperatures and crisp autumn air whilst perusing wares at a local outdoor market? The Horseshoe Craft & Flea Market, established this time last year by local artist Amy Yetman, now runs seasonally (once in spring, once in summer and once in fall) in the popular Tennyson/Berkeley district. A little bit bohemian and a little bit refined at the same time, this open-air bazaar brings emerging, undiscovered and experienced crafters together with antique/vintage collectors, all selling a variety of handmade and handpicked goods. The final market—before the chilly winter months...

A tomte is a mythical creature who protects a farmer's family and home from misfortune during the night, and is now making itself known in Denver. Denver's own Tomte. Modern Craft is mythical in its own way. Their symbolic gnome is here to protect us from the average everyday world out there and invite us into the world of all things handmade. Tomte is the product of the travels of Brett and Crystal from Vital Industries (the awesome screen-print clothing and accessories company). They travel to craft fairs throughout the country and meet lots of great crafters who are making lots of great products. So they decided they had to bring all of...

Have you been feeling out of sorts lately? You tried feng shui, but that didn't cut it? Yoga helped your back but not much else? Meditation—eh, not your thing... So...how do you get in your element, that personal sweet spot of perfection? Sometimes all it takes is some beautiful surroundings to make yourself and your home feel better. And they don't have to be completely out of your price range either. Element, a contemporary home furnishings store, opened its doors on Larimer Street in 2003 to fill a special niche market of high-end contemporary home products, but at reasonable prices. I’m not talking about the mammoth super stores of today, but the sweet, quaint, old-women-with-glasses-behind-the-counter type of place. Well, if every time you walk into Borders you want to throw up, we have found the perfect place for you. It's called The Bookies. They have a huge section dedicated to the education of our youth, whether you are teaching them at home...
